MOTION FOR PERMISSION TO TRAVEL
OUTSIDE THE WASHINGTON, D.C. AREA TO
ATTEND AN EMPLOYMENT INTERVIEW
The defendant xxxxxxxxxxxxx, through undersigned counsel, requests permission to travel outside the Washington, D.C., area, to New York City, New York, for a second employment interview, during the dates of Wednesday, October 29, 1997 to Sunday, November 2, 1997, with Bankole Taoficki, the representative of the West African division of Sebago Shoe Company located in Maine.
In support of this Motion, Mr. xxxxxxxx states:
1. Mr. xxxxxxxx has pled guilty to a charge of uttering a forged treasury check of the United States, in violation of Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 510(c).
2. In July 1997, Mr. xxxxxxxx surrendered his passport to Pretrial Services, as ordered by the Court.
3. Mr. xxxxxxxx has been seeking gainful employment and recently completed a successful interview with a representative of Sebago Shoe Company, and was asked to return for a second interview.
4. Mr. xxxxxxxx requests permission to travel to New York City to continue the interview process with a second interview with representatives of Sebago Shoe Company of Maine.
4. Mr. xxxxxxxx is in compliance with the release conditions set by the court.
5. Mr. xxxxxxxx will contact pre-trial services upon returning to the Washington, D.C. area.
WHEREFORE, for the reasons stated above, Mr. xxxxxxxx requests permission to travel to New York City from October 27 to
November 2, 1997, for an employment interview.
